Infuse memorable moments into your child's experience this holiday season
Isn't it such fun to infuse special, sweet, memorable moments into your child's experience this holiday season? YES. And that can also feel like a lot of pressure, right?
Think of it this way.
There may be one or two exciting, big moments you want to orchestrate this month AND there are so many simple, easy, and joyful ways to infuse a sense of wonder and magic into daily life, too (simple like reading favorite holiday books together, singing the songs of the season, doing a little crafty project, going for a walk in the snow, SIMPLE!).
If you spend most of your time focusing on the little, simple moments that bring joy in daily life with your kids than you'll find yourself feeling energized, excited, even thrilled to take on ONE or TWO big moments with your family this season.
Yesterday was one of those magical days that my husband and I were thrilled to create for our little ones. We got our Christmas Tree.
Finding our tree, cutting it down, bringing it home, decorating, this was an all-day event and one of those bigger, more exciting moments of my family's holiday season.
It was wonderful and we were fully present, connected, and joyful because we've chosen NOT to take on a million other things that don't really matter to us. AND, our children simply want to share life experiences with us, so they are thrilled, too. It's a win win. YES.
So, let me ask you again. What are the one or two BIG, special moments you want to have with your loved ones this month? And how can you infuse a little bit more joy and magic into the little moments that make each and every day fun, relaxing, and nourishing?
Focus in on what matters the most and let go of the rest.
Thanks so much for sharing a bit of your time here with me today. Tomorrow I am going to share my tips on how to thoroughly enjoy yourself at holiday parties, have a blast with your family and friends at festive meals, & savor delicious foods WITHOUT gaining 5-10 pounds by the New Year.
